June 25, 2008 - Leave a Response

This  has been an interesting week.  I spent much of the weekend working on my YP home and that of a friend who is somewhat incapacitated due to breaking his ankle.  Additionally, I met with the Pres. of the YP Village Association (of which I’m Treas.) to discuss a meeting to be held Monday with the Valley County Commissioners.   Since the fires of last summer we have had numerous problems with garbage-exciting stuff huh!  Anyway, we are trying to get our transfer station repaired to prevent the local fauna from scattering refuse all over the area.  I and some other local residents have been picking up the mess but are rapidly losing patience with the joy of trash talk.  Good news is that the Commissioners see it our way and will take action with the sanitation company.

Took Sydney my 7 year old grand daughter fishing last Wed. at Rotary Pond near the green belt.  She caught the first fish, the largest fish and the most fish.  She came to the family as a 3 yr. old because my son-in-law had been previously married.  She is my best fishing buddy and I couldn’t love her more.  I also have a 10 month old grand daughter Kelsey. She is learning new things every day and has an infectous smile and a beauty queen wave.    Enough family for this time, there will be further installments as I have been blessed with a great family.

Class has  been interesting for me because all of you are sharing insights and fears openly.  That is the great thing about the  cohort format.  Please give me some feedback as to whether we are going in the direction that is serving your needs as teachers and leaders.

Enough said for this time.  My fear of blogging is now offically over.
